This will be a week of intensive Ashtanga Yoga Practice in our warm, mountainside studio. With Mysore style practice in the morning and academic sessions in the afternoon, we will learn, grow, & glow!

A one or two-week retreat in southern Spain is a great way to focus entirely on your Ashtanga Yoga practice without any stressful interruptions. Our Yoga Workshop places a focus on individual progression through intensive practice, starting with a morning Mysore style session each day.
Morning sessions will proceed in a full self-practice style, in the warm & cosy studio attached to our accommodation. Karen Breneman will provide careful adjustments based on the needs of each individual.
In the afternoon, there will be an academic session which will focus on learning some of the philosophy underpinning the asana practice, such as learning the names of the postures in Sanskrit and how these names relate to geometry and Indian history & mythology. Evening sessions may include a seated session, watching a Yoga DVD, such as John Scott's Ashtanga Yoga or discussing other reference material that supports the practice.
Beginners are welcome to enquire, as they will be enfolded into the workshop in the traditional method. If you are new to Ashtanga, you will be given the Sun Salutations to practice during the morning Mysore sessions, and can observe other practitioners to become familiar with the style.
